About

Jill Vershum

My philosophy is the foundation of my work. I believe every person is whole, creative, and resourceful. My work is to provide inspiration that unlocks and unblocks vast human potential. I use questioning, deep listening, and a comprehensive map of human development to help people articulate what matters deeply to them and what they want to change. When words aren’t enough, we explore images, colors, and metaphors. By exploring what is now and what is possible, conversations move a person from head to heart. When that happens, self-awareness is ignited and provides the footholds for change.

BIOGRAPHY

I am a business leader, entrepreneur, and executive coach. I am recognized as a catalyst in collaborating with leaders of diverse cultures, generations, and stages of career to make changes that matter deeply. My methodology includes an inside-and-out approach to leader development and personal change. It encompasses deep self-awareness and change that examines behaviors as well as beliefs, environments, and relationships. My desired outcome is for people to experience deep and lasting change in areas that matter to them and our world.

Before expanding my private coaching business I held leadership roles to promote people development and change. I served 18 years in healthcare, including the role of Vice President/Chief Learning Officer at Texas Health Resources. In my role as Executive Vice President Talent Solutions at Right Management North Texas, in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area, I partnered with global and U.S. companies to develop effective strategies and solutions for talent management and organizational effectiveness. During those 14 years I was also an Executive Coach. I effectively guided hundreds of leaders to healthier, more productive, and satisfying roles and lives. My passion for learning and growing extends to future generations. I design art experiences for children to build capabilities in mindfulness and resilience, while striving to preserve their innate creativity and playfulness. I have written a book called My Macaroni Sings, Your Guide to Cultivating Creativity in Children, and it is available on Amazon.com.

I earned my Master’s Degree in Counseling from University of Toledo. I hold the highest-level certification—Integral Master Coach™—from Integral Coaching Canada, Inc. As part of this global community I continue to learn and use the most comprehensive map of human development. I am a member of and certified by International Coach Federation as a Professional Certified Coach. I am experienced in and certified in the leading cognitive, personality, and leadership competency-based assessments used in talent assessment, career development and leader coaching.

  • The definitions of professional coaching by International Coaching Federation and Integral Coaching Canada, Inc., include these tenets:

    • Coaching includes partnering with clients in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires them to maximize their personal and professional potential. Coaching conversations are confidential.
    • Both coach and client are dedicated to the unique development needs of the client. In this collaboration, the coach encourages self-discovery and elicits client-generated solutions and strategies that are future focused.
    • Coaches honor the client as the expert of his or her life and work. The process helps clients dramatically improve their outlook on work and life, while improving their leadership skills and unlocking their potential.
    • The client creates the agenda based on the coaching goals and actively participates in practices designed to make changes, and build new competencies in cycles of development.
    • Coaching is not therapy. In therapy, the focus is often about uncovering and resolving issues from the past. Coaching is future focused and supports personal and professional growth in pursuit of actionable outcomes.
  • Integral Master Coaches trained and certified by Integral Coaching Canada, Inc. have rigorous training and additional hours that matter for embodiment and mastery. They are highlighted below.

    • Integral methodology is all-inclusive model of human development that has become one of the foremost, research-based, change methodologies in service of human potential.
    • Integral draws upon a powerful framework called AQAL. This is short for all quadrants, levels, lines, states, and types, originally proposed by Ken Wilber.
    • Integral master coaches are trained to look “AT” and “AS” the client to guide them in a path of “include and transcend” their current way.
    • Coaches combine the skills of human development with the structure and discipline of a martial arts linage for delivering embodied and lasting change.
    • Human beings are complex. An embodied integral understanding enables a coach to meet each client fully, and develop client capacities with remarkable speed and accuracy.
